Story of The Candle Maker’s Legacy

داستان کوتاه سطح بسیار دشوار

In a seaside village, there lived an old candle maker named Tomas. His candles were famous—not for their scent or color, but for the stories they held.

Each candle was made with care, infused with herbs and oils chosen to match a mood or memory. Locals swore that lighting one could bring back forgotten dreams.

Tomas never explained his process. He simply smiled and said, “Candles remember what we forget.” Tourists came from far away to buy them.

One day, a young woman named Mira arrived. She had lost her father and felt numb. She asked Tomas for a candle that could help her feel again.

He gave her a small blue candle, wrapped in linen. “Light it when you’re ready,” he said. “And listen.”

That night, Mira lit the candle. The scent was soft, familiar. She closed her eyes and suddenly remembered her father’s laugh, his stories, the way he held her hand.

She returned the next day, tears in her eyes. “How did you do that?” Tomas smiled. “I didn’t. You did. The candle just opened the door.”

Years later, Tomas passed away. Mira took over the shop. She learned the craft, but more importantly, she learned the art of listening.

The candles still glowed in the windows. And people still came—not just for light, but for memory, meaning, and the warmth of something deeply human.
