Story of Climbing the Wall

داستان کوتاه سطح دشوار

Maya was afraid of heights. Even standing on a chair made her nervous. But her best friend, Zoe, loved climbing and invited her to try the indoor climbing wall.

At first, Maya said no. “I’ll fall,” she said. “I’m not strong enough.” Zoe smiled and said, “You don’t have to reach the top. Just try.”

Maya agreed. At the climbing center, she watched others go up the wall. Some were fast, some slow. Everyone looked focused and determined.

She put on the harness and helmet. Her hands were shaking. Zoe helped her choose an easy route and stayed beside her.

Maya grabbed the first hold and pulled herself up. It was harder than she thought, but she kept going. “One step at a time,” Zoe said.

Halfway up, Maya wanted to stop. Her arms were tired. But she looked down and saw how far she had come. She took a deep breath and continued.

When she reached the top, she couldn’t believe it. She laughed and shouted, “I did it!” Zoe cheered from below.

Maya came down slowly, smiling the whole way. She felt strong, proud, and free. Her fear didn’t win that day.

She returned the next week, and the week after. Climbing became her new passion. She learned that courage isn’t the absence of fear—it’s moving forward despite it.
