story of Jake’s Lemonade Stand

Jake is nine years old. It is a hot day. He wants to make money.

He asks his mom, “Can I sell lemonade?” She says, “Yes, I will help you.”

They mix water, lemons, and sugar. Jake tastes it. “Yum!” he says.

He makes a sign: “Lemonade – 1 Euro.” He puts a table outside.

People walk by. They see the sign. They stop and buy lemonade.

Jake smiles and says, “Thank you!” He gives them cups and takes coins.

Soon, he has many coins. He counts them. He has ten euros!

Jake buys a book with the money. It is about space and stars.

He reads the book at night. He learns new things. He feels happy.

Jake wants to sell lemonade again. He likes working and learning.
