Story of Tom’s First Day at School

Tom is five years old. Today is his first day at school. He feels a little scared.

His mom walks with him. They go to the big school building. Tom sees many kids.

A teacher smiles at Tom. She says, “Hello, Tom! Welcome!” Tom smiles back.

Tom sits in a small chair. He sees books, toys, and crayons. He feels better.

The teacher says, “Let’s sing a song.” Tom sings with the other kids.

Then they draw pictures. Tom draws a red apple. He shows it to the teacher.

At lunch, Tom eats with new friends. They talk and laugh. Tom likes them.

After lunch, they play outside. Tom runs and jumps. He is having fun.

Soon, it is time to go home. Tom sees his mom and hugs her.

He says, “School is fun!” His mom smiles. Tom is ready to go again tomorrow.
