Story of Ben and the Lost Dog

Ben is a boy. He is ten years old. He lives in a small town. He likes to play outside.

One day, Ben goes to the park. He sees a dog. The dog is small and brown. It looks sad.

Ben walks to the dog. He says, “Hello, dog.” The dog does not run. It stays near Ben.

Ben looks for a name tag. There is no tag. Ben thinks, “This dog is lost.”

He takes the dog home. He gives it water and food. The dog eats and wags its tail.

Ben tells his mom. She says, “We must find the owner.” They make a sign with a photo.

The next day, a woman comes. She sees the sign. She says, “That is my dog!”

Ben is happy. The woman is happy too. She thanks Ben and gives him a hug.

Ben waves goodbye to the dog. He feels good. He helped someone today.
