Story of Milo the Curious Cat
داستان کوتاه سطح متوسط
Milo was a small, orange cat who lived with Emma in a quiet house. He loved to sleep on the sofa and watch birds from the window. But Milo was also very curious. He liked to explore new places.
One sunny morning, Emma opened the door to get the mail. Milo saw the open door and ran outside. Emma didn’t notice. Milo walked around the garden, sniffing flowers and chasing butterflies.
Then he saw a hole in the fence. He squeezed through and entered the neighbor’s yard. There were many things to see—trees, toys, and a big doghouse. Milo didn’t see the dog, so he kept walking.
Suddenly, a loud bark came from the doghouse. A big black dog ran out. Milo jumped and ran as fast as he could. He climbed a tree and stayed there, shaking. The dog barked but couldn’t reach him.
Emma came outside and saw the dog barking. She looked up and saw Milo in the tree. She called his name, but Milo didn’t move. Emma asked the neighbor to take the dog inside.
After the dog went away, Milo slowly climbed down. Emma picked him up and hugged him. “You silly cat,” she said. “You scared me!” Milo purred and rubbed his head on her shoulder.
They walked back home together. Emma gave Milo some milk and closed the door. Milo drank the milk and jumped on the sofa. He looked out the window again, but he didn’t try to go outside.
Emma smiled and sat next to him. “You had a big adventure today,” she said. Milo meowed softly and closed his eyes. He was tired but happy.
From that day, Emma always checked the door before opening it. And Milo stayed inside, dreaming of butterflies and trees.
